Forest school on the american river parkway
Our forest school is a land based nature program for children ages 3-6. We explore the same East Sacramento location every day and are outside rain or shine (with a few exceptions - see our FAQS.) We follow the SCUSD calendar for holidays and breaks.
We believe the learning of early childhood should focus on a child's understanding of their body and self, building relationships with peers and teachers, and learning about the world they live in. Our emergent curriculum is based on the seasons and children's interests. We also learn about the native and invasive plants, the birds and animals we share the parkway with, and how to care for ourselves and our wild world.
We offer a drop-off program Monday-Friday 9am-1pm and a Parent/Child Program Fridays 9am-1pm.
